Danielle is dedicated to fertility and pregnancy care, and finds joy in supporting people across the full reproductive journey – from menstrual health and preconception, through to pregnancy, postpartum and menopause. She is a qualified Fertile Life practitioner and one of only a handful of graduates in Australia of the Maternity Acupuncture Mentoring & Peer Support (MAMPS) program, which focuses on pregnancy acupuncture and includes mentorship from leading international experts. Danielle brings an evidence-informed approach to her treatments while still embracing the traditional roots and wisdom of Chinese medicine.
She always felt drawn to Chinese medicine, but in her earlier years took the more “practical” path, completing a business degree and working in corporate HR. She loved connecting with people and supporting them through change, but wanted a career that felt more personally fulfilling. After years of living and travelling overseas (including time in the UK and Japan), the pull toward acupuncture only grew stronger. In 2012, she made the leap to follow that calling and hasn’t looked back. She now feels incredibly lucky to have found a career she genuinely loves, where she’s continually learning… and one she sees herself doing for life.
Danielle has benefited from the guidance of generous acupuncture mentors over recent years, through both hands-on experience and formal study-based mentorships. She has a love of continued learning and is always seeking out the latest research in acupuncture and reproductive health. Danielle loves sharing this knowledge with the team, fostering a collaborative and consistent approach to treatment across the clinic.
Alongside her practice at Yin, Danielle is passionate about contributing to the wider acupuncture and TCM community and building connections within the profession. Since completing her Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture, she has also committed to treating in a weekly community acupuncture clinic, supporting people from marginalised backgrounds or those who might otherwise not be able to access acupuncture. From 2016 to 2023, Danielle contributed to the wider profession through her work with Acupuncture Now Australia (ANA), leading to a Board position.
Outside of clinic life, Danielle is a mum to a much-loved tween daughter. With her mum being the eldest of nine, and growing up surrounded by ALL the aunties (and a couple of uncles), Danielle always imagined having a big family herself. This personal experience has given her an understanding of the different journeys to parenthood and a real appreciation for the family she has. She brings this empathy into every treatment, creating a space where clients feel supported, heard and hopeful.
All of our Yin acupuncturists have been trained in the same style of acupuncture and work collaboratively as a team. So, if you ever need or want to change practitioner, we can assure you that you’ll receive a very similar style of treatment.
